Roles & Provisions
Sponsors various educational programs which are offered to the community throughout the year. Topics include Medicare, Long Term Care, Power of Attorney for Health Care, local services available to seniors, Living Well with Chronic Illness, Falls Prevention, Retirement 101, and other issues of interest to older adults.

Roles & Provisions
Educational programs and seminars are offered throughout the year. Specialized programming for older adults includes speaker’s bureau and community education with topics about arthritis, cancer, cardiac, diabetes, and a variety of screenings. Services
Healthy Living with Diabetes, water fitness, yoga, arthritis programs, fitness programs, stability and therapeutic programs, strength training for active older adults, monthly potlucks and seminars and more! Some seniors may qualify for free memberships through their insurance company.

Independence First
Roles & Provisions
Independence First is an independent living center directed and controlled by persons with disabilities. Our mission is to facilitate empowerment of individuals with disabilities through education, advocacy, and independent living services. We can meet one-on-one with a person to address their needs and identify life skills goals. The goal is to achieve resources and complete independence.

Milwaukee Area Technical College
Roles & Provisions
MATC provides vocational and technical training to persons age 16 over in the greater Milwaukee and surrounding area. Academic courses from elementary to college level are offered. Counseling is available for vocational, educational, and adjustment problems. It also administers general education development tests (GED), and operates through 25 centers in the Milwaukee area. Persons 62 years and older are exempt from program fees in some cases.

Ozaukee County Historical Society
Details
Society meets in February, May, August, and November. Monthly board meetings are the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m. There is no meeting in December.
Special events as scheduled.
Ozaukee Pioneer Village is open Memorial Day through the second weekend in October.
School tours and other groups May 1 through October 31.
Archives are open every Tuesday from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m., the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month from 5 - 8 p.m., and the 2nd Saturday of each month from 9 - 11 a.m.
